Terms and Conditions

Giraffe in a Scarf aims to deliver a great customer experience when you purchase your gift. These conditions do not affect your statutory rights under United Kingdom law. These terms and conditions should be read in conjunction with our privacy statement.

Products

Product and packaging are subject to change without prior notice. If we are unable to send your selected gift we will attempt to contact you before substituting an alternative but similar item. If we are unable to contact you we will despatch a similar item.

We've made every effort to make the colours on screen as close as possible to the actual products. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee an exact colour match. Photographs will vary depending on your screen settings and resolution.


Delivery Areas

We deliver to the United Kingdom, which includes the UK mainland, UK islands and Northern Ireland, and most international destinations.


Payment

All payments are processed securely by PayPal. We accept payment by PayPal, Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, MasterCard Debit, Maestro and American Express. All orders are authorised by PayPal prior to despatch, so please ensure all details you provide us with are correct.We require you to supply the registered address of the cardholder. We cannot accept responsibility for an order being delayed or cancelled as a result of incorrect or invalid payment details being given.The total value of your order will be displayed by PayPal.


International Orders

Currently we do not charge extra for international orders however they will inevitably take longer to arrive because of the vagaries of the different postal services. International orders are sent by Airmail.


UK Delivery

There is no charge for delivery.

Orders are sent by Royal Mail First Class post, therefore the majority of orders will be received the following day. We cannot however guarantee how long Royal Mail will take to deliver an item.

Orders are despatched on or before the working day after the order is placed.

Currently all gifts are designed to fit through a standard size letterbox. However if Royal Mail is unable to deliver your gift, they will leave a card with details of how to ollect the gift or arrange redelivery. It is the recipient's responsibility to contact Royal Mail to arrange a suitable redelivery date. If no contact is made, redelivery may not be attempted. We accept no liability if delivery is not made due to the recipient not being available.

We will deliver to the address as you enter it and cannot accept any liability for late or failed delivery if the quoted address is incorrect. We advise that if you are not sure of the address you should check it using the Royal Mail address finding service at http://postcode.royalmail.com/portal/rm/postcodefinder.

We regret we are unable to accept orders for delivery to an address containing a PO Box Number, or from customers placing an order whose own address contains a PO Box number.

Deliveries will be made to the address you have selected. In the event that you select a business address, Giraffe in a Scarf will be deemed to have delivered the gift to its intended recipient by delivering it to the reception area or mailroom at the business address.


Cancelling your Order

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us and if the order has not yet been despatched, we will cancel it and refund your payment method.


Returns

We want our customers to be completely happy with all purchases. If for any reason you are unhappy with the gift you have purchased then please contact us to arrange a return, and replacement item or refund.

Please note you must contact us to obtain a returns number before returning the item. This helps us to track the item and ensure we can refund you when we receive the item back.

Please be aware you will be liable for any postage costs incurred as a result of returning items to Giraffe in a Scarf and you should ensure you obtain proof of posting when you send it back. We can only provide a refund for items that we receive back.

Please note that we need to be notified of any order issues within 28 days of despatch. We are unfortunately unable to offer refunds on orders if we have not been notified within this time period.


Security

Giraffe in a Scarf uses PayPal to ensure all payment transactions are fully secure. We do not receive or store your payment card details.


Gift Messages

All orders include a gift card that is personalised with the message of your choice. This message will be hand-written from the text you type into the website. You can enter a maximum of 70 characters for your message

We reserve the right to reject any message we consider might offend the recipient or is in breach of copyright or other legal rights.
